Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using Calendar Reminder ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Papercode. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Papercode.
2. Description of Service
Calendar Reminder is a Google Workspace add-on that lets you schedule and send automated appointment reminders to event attendees via SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, and email. The Service integrates with your Google Calendar account.
3. Account and Eligibility
- You must have a valid Google account to use the Service.
- You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information when using the Service.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
- The Service is available on a paid subscription basis.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, as selected at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's terms.
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.
5. Reminder Quotas
Each plan includes a monthly reminder quota. A "reminder" is one message delivered to one attendee. Unused quota does not roll over to the next billing period. If you exceed your quota, reminders above the limit will not be sent unless you upgrade your plan.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or messages to people who have not consented to receive reminders.
- Send illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or fraudulent content.
- Harass or discriminate against individuals.
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, including anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL).
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service.
- Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that all attendees whose phone numbers you enter have consented to receive reminder messages from you.
7. Third-Party Messaging Services
Message delivery is handled by third-party providers (Twilio, WhatsApp Business API, Telegram). We are not responsible for delivery failures, delays, or changes in third-party terms that affect delivery. SMS and WhatsApp message costs are included in your subscription; we bear the transmission costs within your quota.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, designs, and content, is owned by Papercode and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service.
You retain ownership of your data (event information, contact details, message templates). You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.
9. Privacy
Our collection and use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT REMINDERS WILL BE DELIVERED ON TIME OR AT ALL.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAPERCODE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Paris, France, unless applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
